Launching a fight for authors.

A brand-new company with a radical idea: authors should be paid when their work trains AI. We launched it to the world.

The story

A timely idea, and zero awareness.

Created By Humans was launching straight into the white-hot AI debate, with a mission to ensure authors are fairly compensated whenever their work is used to train AI systems.

They needed a launch that explained the idea and made people care, fast.

The argument here isn't technical, it's moral. So we centered the authors themselves, founding voices like Walter Isaacson, Douglas Preston, Susan Orlean, and Michael Chabon, and let the stakes do the work.

An honest look at the evolving world of AI, told through the people it affects most: the writers whose work trains it.

"The platform solves authors' key challenges with AI: control over how our work is used, the accuracy of outputs, and getting compensated for our work's use."

The result

A launch that framed the debate.

Created By Humans arrived with a clear, human case for itself, backed by the Authors Guild and a roster of bestselling founding authors. The launch landed squarely in the conversation it set out to join, with coverage from NPR, TechCrunch, and Axios.
